Having always liked all things decorative lighting, my passion for upcycling lampshades started over a year ago. It followed a family outing to our local Antique Centre where I fell in love with a very quirky Mannequin Head Lamp base and just had to have it. My family thought it was very me, a little bit crazy and slightly bonkers! But the shade didn't do it justice and it ignited my imagination to craft one myself. With my new found creativity, my Niece put her order in for her 8th Birthday and drew me a comprehensive bespoke design. The gauntlet was thrown and the challenge ultimately delivered and there it all began.
I am in favor of being eco conscious, looking to reuse & recycle, I buy lampshades of a quality that will survive a dunk in the bath and prefer fabrics and trimmings that are preowned but still new and unused.
My lamp shades are upcycled with an aim to make them better than before. Generally I recover over the top of existing materials after stripping off old trimmings and I use glue rather than sewing. I take great care in what I do as I want you to be very happy with what you spend your hard earned money on and to give me positive feedback that makes me proud.
I enjoy working out what frame shape and size best suits the fabric and of course shopping for them! In doing so I’ve amassed fabric, frames and trimmings, so if you're looking for something in particular I might be able to help you with it.

Being an avid collector of things with limited space I've got other things to list when I can bare to part with them. Don't you always want to keep it when someone else is interested, lol x
I have a mad dog, Archie, he's a Bracco Italiano and I send apologies in advance should I inadvertently include one of his hairs, but I'll try hard not to. We are a non smoking household.
