Sensible offers considered
I sell mainly vintage, old & preloved items. I list them as condition 'good' This is because the condition of an item is subjective. As they are preloved, there will probably be some wear, so I take lots of photographs for the buyer to see.
If items are modern or new they are usually listed as 'very good'
If items are damaged or have stones missing, then 'satisfactory '
If a buyer requests, I am always happy to take more pictures before purchasing.
Please note that before the Hallmarking Act of 1973 in the UK, hallmarking wasn't always legally required, and some Jewellers may have chosen not to hallmark their pieces. In fact, nearly 90% of jewellery from the Georgian, Victorian, Edwardian, and Art Deco periods lack hallmarks.
