It's important to note that these items are not intended for children, as certain smaller components may have sharp edges and could pose a choking hazard if swallowed. Additionally, the raw prints may feature sharp edges.
Keep in mind that 3D printed items may exhibit lines and marks, which are normal aspects of the printing process. The models may not achieve perfection as they necessitate support structures during printing, which can leave marks on the surface. Subsequent sanding and painting are often required once the supports are removed. When handling items and engaging in sanding activities, it is crucial to use the appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to ensure safety. Particularly, when sanding, be mindful of the potential toxicity of plastic dust, which can be harmful if inhaled or ingested, posing risks to health.
While efforts are made to minimize sharp or jagged edges, it is advisable to exercise caution when dealing with these items.
Sometimes prints may warp slightly during cooling but can easily put back into shape with a hairdryer or heat gun.
