I am a big fan of clothes from certain time periods. Especially tea dresses from the 1930s and 1940s. However my favourite is the 1950s. I'm an NHS worker, working in a hospital in a department most people have never heard of and don't know about. Yet it's such a vital and important department that without it hospitals could not perform surgeries or operations. Procedures involving any instruments could not be done. For example even the dentists or orthodontists couldn't do anything. There are actually 2 departments. Sterile Services Department (SSD) and Sterile Scopes Unit (SSU). In SSD we clean, prepare, wrap and sterilise pretty much all surgical instruments and most equipment. It ensured everything is clean, safe and sterile for use. In SSU we do the same thing for scopes for a number of departments. Gastroscope's (stomach), bronchoscopes (chest) and colonoscopes (colon) for the Endoscopy department. Nasal and throat Scopes ENT. We also do scopes for main theatre and minor ops.
