I rendered this piece using Liquitex acrylics on an 8" x 10" canvas board. My intent was to capture the silent weight and dignity of the feline form, paying close attention to the dramatic contrast between the intense golden-amber eyes and the delicate, silver-grey values of the fur.
I have always been drawn to the subtle moments of animal behavior—the quiet observation before movement, the calm composure of a predator at rest.
