Geni (the Little brown dog) was thrown out in a junk yard. I was told about her and went determened to gether and find her a home. I saw her there and fell in love. I foind her home with me.
Nixon is a Jack russell , blue tick hound mix. He was droped off at a shelter and abandon. they adopted him out twice and he was brought back. THe reason given both times was that he tore up the house when they went out. when i saw him at the shelter, all the other dogs were barking and jumping around. He was silent , standing still and alone, sad. He had given up on being adopted. I asked about him and got his story. As the shelter worker moved to a happy jumpin dog she was recomending , I told her I want this quiet one. I took him home, I changed his name to Nixon. (He was called elvis) I wanted him to forget his past life adn move on so I named him for the presedent at the time of Elvis.. Nixon. when I was home he would not get on the furniture, my lap, or the bed. I had to force him to!! Makes me wonder what he went through. when I was gone, He of course tore up the house a few times. Curtins, blinds, comforters, a home in the floor. a chouch. after some crating, ( we don't need it now) some talking to, and getting Genie he was better. He has a lot of love to give, and he is my best Buddie!!!
I am tring to open a non rofit pet food pantry out of my barn and shed . and he will probably be my mascot!
