For anyone whose record collection has recently entered its “wait, Supertramp actually slaps” era.
1977, just before Breakfast in America, and already extremely dialed in: Give a Little Bit, Downstream, From Now On and the gloriously unreasonable 10:51 Fool’s Overture.
Warm, weird, melodic 70s art rock that sounds particularly right on vinyl.
Also one of the great album covers: they hauled a grand piano into the Colorado snow, covered it in more snow, put Fool’s Overture on the music stand and called it a day.
For prog people, soft-rock converts, dads with receivers, and anyone slowly discovering that the uncool records are often the good ones.
Sleeve has honest vintage wear — see photos.
